Have you ever experienced losing your job when your employment contract expired, even though you wanted to continue working at the same company or organization?
I'm not sure about the situation in other countries, but at least in Japan, it is said that several million fixed-term contract workers leave their jobs each year due to the expiration of their contracts.
Among them, there are many who had hoped to continue working in the same workplace but were forced to leave because their contracts were not renewed.

Situations like this cause insecurity about employment and anxiety about the future, and I believe they represent a serious social issue.
In reality, imagine the emotional pain of someone who still wanted to stay but had to leave for reasons beyond their control-especially if they had formed meaningful connections with the people there.

I created a song based on this situation-a sad song called "Shokukire-bushi" ("The Song of Job Loss").
It's a sorrowful tune styled like an upbeat-tempo enka (a traditional Japanese ballad), capturing the bittersweet feeling of losing one's job.
It may be a modest song, but I would be truly happy if you could find some resonance with it.

  • Gaubin Harune

    Harune Gaubin is a Vroid girl who was born from the website "Minstrel Children Children of the Bards." In the past, the site's administrator, Master (Tomonori Yamashita), used to sing songs of sorrow, suffering, and hope as a minstrel (bard). However, since Master only performed with his not so skillful guitar playing, he eventually felt the limits of his activities as a minstrel and decided to stop. At that time, Master came across a YouTube video featuring a Vocaloid singing and dancing. He thought, "If I use the latest IT technologies like AI, maybe I too could create songs with proper instrumental accompaniment and have a Vroid sing them just like that Vocaloid." As he groped his way through the vast world of IT, he discovered that AI could easily create songs with impressive performances and vocals. He also found applications that could design cute Vroid models. This led him to believe that perhaps he could finally realize his long held dream. While many Vroids used Vocaloid voices to sing, Master, confident in his own singing ability, came up with the idea: "Why not overlay my own voice onto the singing image of Harune Gaubin?" Thus, thanks to Master's efforts, Harune Gaubin was born a Vroid girl who sings beautiful songs with full instrumental accompaniment. Master, being skilled at creating websites and proficient in all kinds of PC work, decided to project his once abandoned dream onto Harune Gaubin and make it a reality. "To create songs about the world's suffering, sadness, injustice, and hope, and have many people listen to them. And through these songs, help even a little bit to bring happiness to others." that is Master's heartfelt wish. Harune Gaubin will continue to sing to fulfill that wish. Everyone, please cheer for Harune Gaubin!
