This instrumental piece tells the sorrowful yet beautiful tale of the Heike clan's rise and fall-solely through the voice of the guitar. Channeling the spirit of a modern-day biwa hōshi, the guitarist paints scenes of glory, war, and ultimate demise. With every note echoing the transience of power and life, the track merges Japanese aesthetics of impermanence with the melancholic soul of rock. Released in July, it also serves as a solemn requiem and prayer-an offering from the present to the lost souls of the Heike clan.
