My calendar's empty

For the first time in weeks

No alarm set

No place I have to be

There's laundry waiting

By the bedroom door

But I think

It can wait a little more

I left my phone

Face down on the table

Made another coffee

Just because I'm able

Someone asked me

What I'm doing tomorrow

I said

I don't know

And smiled

No plan for tomorrow

And I kinda like it that way

Maybe I'll go somewhere

Maybe I'll stay

Sleep until ten

Take the long way downtown

Buy something sweet

And walk around

No plan for tomorrow

Nothing I have to become

For twenty-four hours

I'm not chasing anyone

Tomorrow can happen

Whenever it comes

No plan for tomorrow

Sounds like fun

Maybe I'll take

The first train I see

Get off somewhere

I've never had a reason to be

Maybe I'll find

A little bookstore

Spend half an hour

Then stay for four

Or maybe the rain

Will keep me inside

I'll open the window

And let that decide

I used to think

An empty day was wasted

Now it feels

Like something I've been missing

No plan for tomorrow

No list I need to complete

No reservation

No one waiting on me

If I change my mind

Around half past two

There's nobody there

I need to explain it to

No plan for tomorrow

And nothing feels wrong

Maybe doing less

Was the plan all along

Tomorrow can happen

Whenever it comes

No plan for tomorrow

Sounds like fun

Leave the shoes

Beside the door

Leave the dishes

Until four

Take a nap

With the curtains open

Wake up when

The room turns golden

No big lesson

No new me

Just one day

Completely free

No plan for tomorrow

And I kinda like it that way

Maybe I'll leave early

Maybe I'll stay

Maybe I'll call someone

Maybe I won't

Maybe I'll do

Exactly what I want

No plan for tomorrow

No finish line to find

Just a little room

To change my mind

And if tomorrow

Ends up doing nothing

I'll still call it

A pretty good day

No plan for tomorrow

I'll decide

When I wake up

Ask me tomorrow

Maybe I'll know
