2021年秋リリース予定の「全曲、推し曲」をテーマに掲げたアルバム『Lucid Dreaming』からのシングル第6弾。以前より配信ライブなどで演奏するたび国内外のリスナーの中では度々話題となっていた楽曲だ。美しいメロディーとシルキーなヴォーカルが特徴の本楽曲は、主旋律とハーモニーが複雑に絡み合い、自分が今どこにいるのかわからなくなるような感覚に陥る。まるで白昼夢をふわふわと彷徨っているような心地良いエレクトロニカ楽曲となっている。アートワーク及びリリックビデオは、ビデオアーティストのSaou Tanakaが担当。アルバム先行シングル「Spider Dancinge」や「System」でも唯一無二の世界観を作り上げてきた。歌詞には、大切な存在に先立たれた人が拠り所のない様々な想いと戦っている姿が描かれており、「Flower In The Dark」の "Flower"には "お別れの際に贈る花"という意味も込められている。突然訪れた別れには寂しさや悲しさ、やりきれない思いや後悔が残ることもある。しかし、それらの思いを抱いているのは遺されたものだけではなく、旅立った側も姿が見えないだけで同じように感じているのではないか、という観点から描かれた歌詞にも注目いただきたい。

Maika Loubté
音楽家。幼少期から十代までを日本・パリ・香港で過ごし、クラシックピアノを学ぶ。現在は東京を拠点に活動をしている。 音大在学中にビンテージアナログシンセサイザーと出会い、電子音楽の世界に魅了され、のめり込む。現在もエレクトロニックミュージックを基軸に、ジャンルを超えた音楽制作に取り組んでいる。 自身の作品リリースに加え、m-flo、KIRINJI、Sen Morimoto、TENDOUJI、80KIDZなどのライブやレコーディングに参加。 プロデューサー、リミキサーとしても活動するほか、Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO 2024 A/WやSCRAMBLE SQUARE SHIBUYA - 2022 SCRAMBLE AUTUMN、ランドリン、Google、GMOなど多様なブランドや企画の音楽制作も手がける。その他、渡辺信一郎監督のアニメ作品「キャロル＆チューズデイ」への楽曲提供や脚本家・坂本裕一のドラマ「大豆田とわ子と三人の元夫」の劇伴にも歌唱で参加など業界内でも注目を集めている。 2020年発売のシングル「Show Me How」がMAZDA MX-30のTVCMに起用され、本人も出演した。2021年にアルバム『Lucid Dreaming』をリリースし、翌2022年にはSpotifyのEQUALプログラムに選出、ニューヨーク・タイムズスクエアのビルボードに登場。その他、SUMMER SONICや朝霧JAMなどの国内の大型フェスへも出演。世界中のアーティストとのコラボレーションや海外でのライブツアーも行う。 また、映画音楽やCM音楽、楽曲提供、サウンドプロデュース、リミックス、DJ、日・仏・英語での歌唱提供、ナレーションなど多角的に活動中。2026年春、次作フルアルバム『House Of Holy Banana』をリリース予定。
