Small color is a duo; Yusuke Onishi as a guitarist and Rie Yoshihara as an accordionist, toypianist and toy musical instruments player. They have released the album ''outflow'' in Japan and ''In Light'' through the label 12K in U.S.A. This song was released before as a charity song for Great East Japan earthquake.
Small Color, a duo consisting of Yusuke Onishi (guitar, banjo, bass, programming and production) and Rie Yoshihara (accordion, voice, vintage keyboard instruments) . They make the sound as gentle, minimal, acoustic J-pop. Small Color has been performing live and honing their sound. Being primarily an acoustic band, their recordings are not created in front of a computer screen. Yusuke, who plays guitar for many artists in Japan, and with the musicianship of Rie, an accomplished accordion player, live performance and songwriting are what Small Color is all about. Small Color's sound encompasses many moods in its modest shell: joy, sorrow, love and sadness, the feelings of everyday life, with influences from such diverse musical genres as jazz, world music, pop and experimentalism, as well as design, architecture and cooking. Their songs are delicate yet rich in texture, brimming with the warm sounds of electric pianos, acoustic guitar, glockenspiel, accordion, toy pianos and a studio full of other instruments accented by small beatboxes, electronic sprinklings, and Rie's faraway and lulling voice.
