Artist Profile

  • Rina Kawada

    She began composing music at the age of six. She has performed in many concerts including YAMAHA Junior Original Concerts. She graduates from Tokyo University of the Arts with a Bachelor's degree in Music Composition, and completed a Master's degree in Music Composition at the same university. In 2013, she was awarded the highest prize in the chamber music division at the TIAA 14th All Japan Composers Competition organized by Tokyo International Arts Association. In 2015, she was also awarded also the Encouragement Prize in the same division. In 2015, she had released an original CD "Sense of Wonder" with her own compositions. In 2018, she had released her second CD album "May Breeze". She also actively provides and arranges music for various artists and choral groups. She has studied composition under Manabu Kawai, Ichiro Nodaira, Eisuke Tsuchida, and Akira Nishimura, and piano under Jun Nakao and Shun Sato.
