~Daimon Dai and Barbara Aki~ In 2023, they participated in the Showa-era pop idol audition at Tamagawa Onsen in Tokigawa Town, Saitama Prefecture. Among the 20-something girls who made it to the final selection, they stood out and, for some reason, won the Manager's Award. They thought it would just be a fun project, but a local government chairman who happened to be at the venue said, You're interesting, why don't you perform at the festival? This led to their first job, and their continued existence was decided in a rather haphazard way. They decided to make the most of it and started their unit. Furthermore, riding on that momentum, they even produced an original song, Kawagoe Romantic. Daimon Dai - Daimon Dai - Produced by Takuman,of Nyantaboo, a Saitama ambassador active mainly in Saitama. This Takuman, whose real name is Takuma Wada, previously released a pop song called Nikujiru Monogatari from Victor Entertainment, which became a minor sensation. Leveraging that experience, he approached his best friend, Daimon Dai, and they released Koi shite Yokohama"(Falling in Love in Yokohama). It surprisingly reached 11th place in the Enka/Kayou category of cable radio requests! Furthermore, he made his commercial debut with Koi wa Koime no Lemon Sour"(Love is a Rich Lemon Sour), a song for a Don Quijote & Sapporo Beer collaboration commercial. After that, he released his solo song Shikoi Saitama(Stubborn Saitama). This song was even added to karaoke! At the suggestion of Wada Takuma, he and Barbara Aki participated in an audition as a temporary, fun unit, which somehow became a hot topic again. Currently, they are active as "Daimon Dai and Barbara Aki," working together with a laid-back yet full-throttle attitude. Barbara Aki - Barbara Aki - His older sister, Baba Akiko, who has been an announcer for JCOM for about 20 years, was invited by the staff to audition for Tamagawa Onsen. Although she was willing to participate, she refused to do it alone, so we consulted Takuma Wada, who was hosting a program in the Saitama Central area for JCOM. Wada suggested pairing Barbara and Daimon together, and for some reason, they hit it off. They auditioned as a unit and won the Manager's Award. Utilizing Akiko Baba's connections, they made their debut at the "Kawagoe Showa Town Thanksgiving Festival," where they were a huge success. Encouraged by this, they continued as a unit. They are free-spirited and disparate, but for some reason, they fit together perfectly, and the townspeople find them amusing. They themselves don't think about anything; they're just having fun. Probably.
