We can never fully understand another person's heart.

Even when we see the same world and hear the same words, we can never know everything they feel-how deeply they have been hurt, what they are carrying inside, or what they have never been able to say.

And so, sometimes, we miss each other.

Words we thought we had communicated fail to reach someone. A hand extended with kindness may still end up causing pain.

"KOE NI NARU MADE" is a song about that distance between two people.

Both of them carry the same words in their hearts:

"I'm sorry."

For the pain they caused.
For the pain they endured.
For the things they could not say.
For the things they failed to see.

The past cannot be erased.

And we can never completely experience another person's pain as if it were our own.

But perhaps that is exactly why we keep trying to listen.

Because we cannot see everything, we keep trying to look closer.
Because our feelings may never fully reach someone, we still reach out
