"akisai", a sound / visual project consisting of Yo Suzuki and Koichi Nakaie, will be releasing their third album.
The CD comes with a code link to see their visual work "re:consideration", for listeners to enjoy the entire album consciously produced with affinity of sound and visual.
The music is composed with similar manner as the previous album, using electronica sound with acoustic ambient elements. Although, this album consists more sound of musical instruments (guitar, piano, flute, etc.) played by Suzuki, which shows a different aspect of him as a multi-instrumentalist.
Their new work shows more varieties than ever, as some oriental and pop feeling can be heard towards the later part of album, and a sound with the taste of minimal and comfortable ambient music used for the bonus visual works.
This visual work simply captures the moments of extraordinary environmental and scenic changes, for the people who live in the city.
Enhancing the transparency of different boundaries on each viewer's memories, experiences, and emotions, and the dreamy worldview be created by transmitting beautiful form and sound to our wide variety of senses.
This album is completed as if sketching the cycle reaction, that our own senses will change its colors through the journey of sound and visual, then gently and smoothly comes back to our daily life.
Based in Tokyo. Visual/Sound project by Koichi Nakaie and Yo Suzuki. Along with the own individual works, the project has started as creating the experimental and unfettered production and present their works irregularly. Since the beginning of the project, they have been producing the works that goes beyond the framework by combining the colorful visual images providing with both sensitiveness and boldness by putting pictures and graphics into layers, and the mixed sound elements of electronica, ambient,instruments. Recently, they build a new form of expression by adopting the performance elements with the emphasis on improvisation, and produce the installation works using the own universe of mixed elements of visual and sounds. In 2014, the first album "colors" has been released from SCHOLE. In future, a new approach of sharing a feeling among the artists from various fields and spaces will be explored, and will continue to pursue an experimental way of expression and produce works.
