Lyric

Summer wind

Has faded away

And the moon tonight

Feels a little closer

Golden fields are swaying

In the autumn breeze

It’s the same old road I used to know

But something’s changed in me

Beyond the mountains turning red

The evening sun burns low

A scene I saw so long ago

Still glows in fading gold

People come together

People drift apart

Only the seasons keep on turning

Through every human heart

Autumn moon above the fields

Stay with me tonight

On this road through silver grass

In the fading light

Autumn wind across the dusk

Carry what remains

Summer leaves without a sound

Through the amber plain

At an old station in the twilight

I hear the autumn insects sing

Silver pampas grass is trembling

And a distant bell still rings

For thousands of years beneath this sky

This season has passed through here

And for a moment in the evening air

It feels like someone’s near

Autumn moon above the fields

Stay with me tonight

On the path beyond the station lamps

Where the dark turns soft and wide

Autumn wind across the dusk

Tell the leaves where they fall

Everything we hoped would stay

Moves so gently after all

The mountains turn to crimson

The sky grows deep and blue

And suddenly I know

Someone long ago stood here too

Beneath this moon

Within this wind

Dreaming of tomorrow

Autumn moon above the fields

Hold the years tonight

All the voices, all the days

Gather in your light

Autumn wind beyond the hills

Move across the plain

Summer leaves without a sound

And autumn stays again

Moonlight falls

Across the fields

And quietly

Autumn welcomes night
