Kuzure Mochiya, whose concept centers on "Reiwa-Kayo" (= City pop + Showa Kayo) , releases their 3rd EP, "Sanbai Mochi."
The theme of this EP is "childlike spirit." It features three tracks: "Kawaranu Hibi Yo," paying homage to 80s fusion; "After Five Disco," evoking 70s disco-funk; and "Kodomo No Mamade," respecting Showa-era kayō music. While the musical backgrounds of the three tracks are distinct, they consistently aim for the nostalgic "Kuzure Mochiya Sound."
Kuzure Mochiya is a music unit that performs J-pop based on the concept of Reiwa Kayo. While in college, they met in a club playing Fusion, Funk, R&B, etc. After graduation, they formed the group with the desire to create quality pop music based on their individual musical experiences. Their wide range of music, from downtown-inspired songs to urban city pop, and their sound that is both old and new, are appealing. They stream their music and release music videos and cover videos on YouTube.
