Once upon a time, somewhere
There lived a little hero
Who spent most days asleep
In the morning, a nap in the sunshine
At noon, some leaves, then another nap
When evening came, they woke at last
With a look that seemed to say
“What a busy day I’ve had!”
Whenever they slept so peacefully
The whole home seemed to slow
It takes no grand adventure
To make somebody smile
Making the world a little more peaceful
Our little hero sleeps
On a soft and fluffy blanket
Once upon a time, somewhere
There lived a little hero
Who spent most days asleep
While everyone hurried here and there
They slept beside the window
Dozing softly, sleeping soundly
Sometimes they opened their eyes
And raised their head a little
As if to check the world was still there
Whenever they slept so peacefully
The whole home seemed to slow
It takes no grand adventure
To make somebody smile
Our little hero never knew
That every time they fell asleep
They gave someone’s heart
A little time to rest
And filled it with a growing love
There’s no grand adventure today
But a quiet day when nothing happens
Is a lovely story all its own
It takes no grand adventure
To make somebody smile
It takes no grand adventure
To make somebody smile
