RAS KANTO, a leading artist in Japanese roots reggae, has played all the instruments (except horns), produced, composed, wrote, arranged, recorded, and even created the artwork for his new album *ONE MAN ARMY.



RAS KANTO, who has worked with dub legends such as Augustus Pablo, Wackie's, Dennis Bovell, and Mad Professor, has completed an authentic roots reggae album, delivering reggae/dub from Japan with mixing by Naoyuki Uchida.

    Japan's leading roots reggae singer Born in a family of musicians, he has been involved in music since childhood. He has worked in bands such as ZION HIGH PLAYAZ, DUBSENSEMANIA, and OISO ROCKERS, and is currently active as a solo artist. Music Surfer that can handle not only reggae but also ballads on acoustic guitar, dance hall DeeJay, and any genre. He has participated in Augustus Pablo's album and released on the WACKIE'S label. During the DUBSENSEMANIA era, he produced albums with MAD PRPFESSOR and DENNIS BOVELL, and performed at FUJI ROCK and SUMMER SONIC, Japan's largest festivals. Currently, along with band activities such as ROCKERS FAR EAST, YOUTH OF ROOTS, he is producing an album by himself, producing, writing lyrics, composing, recording, and doing all the instruments and vocals by himself.
