Reiwa Fushoji is a music project that collects people's frustrations with Japan's labor environment and sublimates them into songs as the "OTAKIAGE" process ( originally a traditional ritual for sending off objects imbued with spirits).

This third single centers on a bold concept:
a three-day workweek as the ultimate lifeline to revive a stagnating Japan. A surreal yet irresistibly catchy house tune in true Reiwa Fushōji style.

Artist Profile

  • reiwa fushoji

We take on the job of burning away the frustrations of working people. This is a new audience-participation music project that turns the frustrations and struggles of modern workers into songs. The group is led by Sekine, the sound producer of the electro unit Satellite Young, together with Hibiya who performs as the vocalist and main character. During live shows, additional members appear as the Reiwa Fushōji Dance Division to enhance the performance. A short video series featuring Hibiya the Employee handing out tissues on the street to collect everyday complaints, known as Troubles Collection, went viral and surpassed eight million views, drawing wide attention on social media. Since its launch in 2024, the project has released singles including TO ME TE: The I Want to Quit My Job Song and OZ: The Old Man Song. At their first live appearance at Design Festa vol.60, they combined music with theatrical skits and captivated the audience with a surreal and satirical world.
