ANORAK!などのドラマーとして活動するKotaro Nakamuraによるソロプロジェクト「Chiild Hand」が、初の音源となる7曲入りの作品『only game left in town』を9月18日にリリースする。
本作は、「過去と向き合いながらも、ただ前へ進んでいくしかない」という感覚をテーマに制作され、shoegaze、trip hop、dubなど様々なジャンルからの影響を自身のフィルターを通してアウトプットした作品だ。
楽曲では、霞んだギター、重なり合うテクスチャ、エレクトロニックな要素、ぼやけたボーカルが混ざり合い、まるで霧の中を歩いているような質感を作り上げている。そのサウンドは現行のUS・フィラデルフィアを中心としたshoegaze / DIYシーンと共鳴しながらも、どこか日本的な空気感を併せ持ち、時に実験的な表情も覗かせる。
レコーディングにはspider yamamoto（Ba / falls）、Yuji Ino（Gt / BreakthroughMemories）が参加し、Mix / MasteringはYusuke Shinma（Studio REIMEI）が担当。
アートワークはUS在住のアーティスト @averysng による作品。
