"Black Boboi's first album in five years, Sepia, is an alternative pop record that traverses trip-hop, techno, and ambient textures. The album was inspired by a fictional apocalyptic novel composed through a series of "correspondence letters" exchanged between the three members.

Upon finishing the final track, the listener is left with a profound sense of weight-much like the lingering feeling after watching a cinematic masterpiece-evoked by its free-form sonic imagery and lyrical world.

In a modern society radically transformed by technological innovation, where the traditional "givens" of ethics and morality no longer seem to apply, the expression Black Boboi releases today embraces the nostalgic (=Sepia) while simultaneously questioning how we will confront the future."
