THE ADDBAN announce the release of their 2nd mini album "Yuugurecord."
This six-track work is centered around the theme of "twilight"-capturing fleeting, ambiguous emotions that shift between light and darkness. Blending humor with raw, impulsive energy, the album portrays the subtle discomforts and emotional turbulence hidden within everyday life, presenting a vivid snapshot of the band's current state.
Opening track "Sexy" is an edgy yet catchy pop tune that playfully depicts the awkwardness of being "too close" to someone. The lead track "Moshimo!" builds on the idea of "what if," expressing the gap between imagination and reality through a fast-paced, driving sound.
"Gekikara Daioh" lives up to its striking title, delivering a punch of intensity and humor-a true live favorite packed into a single track. On "Kabutomushi ni Notte," nostalgic yet slightly warped youthful imagery blends with a sense of fantasy, highlighting the band's unique worldview.
"Journey" captures the raw texture of everyday life and human vulnerability, while the closing track "Chouchou" delicately portrays the emotional contradictions of adolescence-leaving a lingering impression that encapsulates the essence of the album.
Rooted in straightforward guitar rock, the band's sound fuses power-pop sweetness with youthful urgency and a subtle edge. Drawing from childhood memories and shared experiences, "YUGURECORD" is a collection of songs that embraces clumsy, unfulfilled emotions-delivering The Adoban's honest and unfiltered take on youth.
In support of the release, the band will embark on their nationwide 2026 tour, "Deltra Quest." The tour will include a split run with THE KING OF ROOKIE, culminating in final one-man shows in Osaka and Tokyo-offering a full experience of the band's growing momentum both on record and on stage.
The Advan is a four-member rock band from Ise City, Mie Prefecture. The band consists of vocalist/guitarist Kohei Arita, guitarist Kohei Ukeda, bassist Kosei Nakamura, and drummer Kenta Maeda. Formed in August 2022 by childhood friends, the band started unusually with all members having no prior band experience or being beginners on their respective instruments. They built their foundation as a band by performing numerous live shows in their hometown of Ise. Since around 2024, they have expanded their activities to the Kansai region and across Japan, increasing their presence through encounters with bands in various locations. Their musical style is centered on straightforward guitar rock, blending the sweetness of power pop with a raw, energetic band sound. Characterized by simple, catchy melodies and somewhat nostalgic chord progressions, they unleash an energy in their live performances that even transforms their youthful inexperience into a strength. Kohei Arita, who primarily handles songwriting and composition, draws on his memories of elementary and junior high school days spent with bassist Kosei Nakamura to depict bittersweet first love and the frustrations of youthful romance from the perspective of an awkward and somewhat unrequited boy. Humorously capturing the gap between dreams, fantasies, and reality, they champion "Love & Peace" and play relatable youth rock that even affirms immaturity and defeat.
