As a shinobue player, Yokosuka Riki has participated in various projects, preserving the classical performance style while incorporating a flexible approach that naturally fits into contemporary music scenes. This release marks their debut solo single.

Artist Profile

  • Riki Yokosuka

    Influenced by his father, the user started playing bon taiko at the age of 3 in local bon odori festivals. At 10, he joined a local taiko group and simultaneously began learning the shinobue. In his first year of junior high school, he joined a junior team produced by taiko performer Hiroyuki Hayashida. He began performing at charity concerts for the Great East Japan Earthquake and later appeared at international festivals and ethnic arts festivals abroad, marking the beginning of his domestic and international performance career. Around the same time, he studied the techniques of shinobue players Taichi Kano and Bunta Sato, and at 15, he placed as a finalist in the 2nd Internet Shinobue Contest. In 2020, he started supporting the Japanese instrumental band "ZI-PANG" and, in the same year, formed the Japanese Cultural New Music Band "Dorian Alein," releasing six singles and marking the beginning of his professional artist career. Currently, he actively participates in various projects as a solo shinobue performer, blending traditional performance styles with a flexible approach that naturally integrates into modern music scenes.
