nuts and bolts

We're excited to present our new song,'nuts and bolts'!
As the title suggests, just as bolts and nuts-though made of the same metal-serve different purposes depending on their shape, we aimed to showcase the diverse expressive capabilities of brass instruments with a rich, human touch.
It all started with our leader's simple statement: 'I want to ride the rhythm with the sound of brass!'
Instead of mechanical synth chords, we deliberately layered single notes from instruments like the trumpet one by one to create a melody that feels like a human breath. We struggled quite a bit with adjusting the timing of the notes and their attack, but that struggle allowed us to truly appreciate the incredible skill of the brass players.
Please forgive any slight pitch discrepancies-it's part of the 'SHIFT' style (lol). In exchange, the drums have been crafted into a rhythm so cool that even the leader raves about it! It's a short piece that's simple yet meticulously crafted down to the finest details. Please give it a listen!
