R1SA, known for his technical yet sometimes lyrical and sometimes passionate playing, as well as his progressive original songs featuring odd time signatures, has moved his base of operations from Kansai to Tokyo and released his first solo album in three years, "Are You OK?"

Began classical piano at age 3 and started composing in elementary school. During university, was profoundly impacted by Emerson, Lake & Palmer, developing an interest in progressive rock. Began creating original music fusing various genres centered around jazz. Launched solo activities as R1SA in 2009. He handles all aspects himself: composition, arrangement, and track production. His shocking and innovative sound has earned trust from overseas artists and DJs, particularly in Europe. He has released four albums to date. Aiming to fuse electronic sound with live performance, his music ranges from tracks rooted in IDM, techno, dub, and Afrobeat to ambient and chill pieces... His fourth album, Are You ok?, for which he handled all track production himself, received high praise both domestically and internationally. He has also participated in numerous support roles for technically demanding bands, including the temporary band featuring members of the famous BABYMETAL support band, the Kami Band, as well as ISAO's solo project.
