With a grandfather who was a livestock farmer and a childhood spent in Africa, Karen grew up dreaming of working at the famous "Mutsugoro Kingdom" and even once aspired to be a dolphin trainer. Her deep love for animals-especially cats-has been a constant source of inspiration throughout her music career.
"Animals" is a compilation album that brings together some of her beloved animal-themed songs along with several new tracks written specially for this release. From acoustic ballads and upbeat pop to club music, rock, and sweeping cinematic arrangements, the album showcases the full spectrum of Karen's musical expression.
Fans of progressive rock may also recognize the subtle homage in the title and artwork: this album is a heartfelt tribute to Animals, the legendary album by Pink Floyd-deeply admired by producer Y.
