Raised in the UK and now based in Tokyo, yukiz was immersed in UK rock during his student days, performing as a guitar-vocalist in a band. During a period of home recovery, he began studying music production and "saynotostrangers" will be released as his first track.
This track, influenced by the 80s-inspired sci-fi phenomenon, features a synth-pop sound reminiscent of CHVRCHES and M83. Its nostalgic yet bright lo-fi synth tones fuses retro elements with a modern sensibility. Most of the production was created using only Logic Pro's built-in plugins. Combined with artwork crafted by yukiz himself, it offers a deeply personal and cohesive artistic vision.
With this single, yukiz marks the start of his full-fledged artist career. More singles and live performances are planned for the coming months, signaling an exciting new chapter in his artistic journey.
