Artist Profile
Michael Rivas
Born in Japan, raised in Hawaii. Studied songwriting at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Currently based in Tokyo, working as a bilingual event MC, narrator and singer-songwriter. He made his talent debut in 2008 as the MC of NHK Educational TV's "Little Charo." He then spent several years as a radio DJ on Inter FM, hosting multiple live broadcasts. As an event and sports MC, he has provided on-site announcements for Ichiro Suzuki's retirement game and all games of the 2025 MLB Tokyo Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs at Tokyo Dome. Music style is mainly acoustic pop, folk, beach/surf and chill music.
