Lyric

Drive me somewhere

I don’t care where

As long as the sky

Is open out there

You pulled up smiling with the headlights low

I said I’m ready if you’re ready to go

No destination, no promise to keep

Just a little escape from the same old street

The city fades in the rearview glass

We let the quiet and the music pass

I don’t need a perfect place to be

If the road feels good next to me

Take the long way

Let the day unwind

Every mile feels better

When we leave it behind

Drive me somewhere

Under the blue air

Anywhere feels like a dream

When we’re already there

Drive me somewhere

Past the same old lights

I just want to feel alive

With the weekend in my eyes

Gas station flowers and a paper map

Laughing at the songs that take us back

We don’t have to know the reason why

We can follow the clouds across the sky

If we get lost tonight

That might be alright

Sometimes the best way home

Is finding new light

Drive me somewhere

Under the blue air

Anywhere feels like a dream

When we’re already there

Drive me somewhere

Past the same old lights

I just want to feel alive

With the weekend in my eyes

Drive me somewhere

I don’t care where

As long as the sky

Is open out there
