The second volume of "Studio M's" Bach & Baroque Masterpieces, titled Chaconne, centers on two works that share the same name: Bach's monumental Chaconne for solo violin-dramatically re-created for solo piano by Ferruccio Busoni-and the joy-filled masterpiece Chaconne by George Frideric Handel.
Originally the name of a Baroque dance, the chaconne unfolds here in two substantial works of approximately eleven and nine minutes respectively. Built upon the repetition of a bass line, the music transforms continuously, expanding with dramatic grandeur. Its weight and intensity may demand focused listening, but for those who immerse themselves in it, the reward is a deep and profoundly resonant emotional experience.
Although piano and harpsichord virtual instruments are used in this recording, we hope listeners will discover in them a distinctive charm-different from what they may usually hear.
Studio M produces and releases classical music-focusing primarily on piano works-created entirely on PC using virtual instruments. By taking advantage of unique digital capabilities, such as the freedom to select any instrument, this music embraces qualities that cannot be replicated in a live performance. However, there are no added arrangements; every piece is created simply following the sheet music. The goal is always to honor and bring out the true beauty of the original composition. Please enjoy these masterpieces and discover a fresh, new charm within them.
