In April 2025, the artist formerly known as Yumi officially became YOUME (pronounced "Yumi").
To mark this transition, she is releasing a self-curated best-of album that reflects both her roots and where she stands now.
This collection brings together songs released under her previous name Yumi, as well as works created after the name change to YOUME-all intentionally re-delivered under her new identity.
It's not a retrospective in the traditional sense, but rather a way of saying:"These are the songs that have shaped me so far."
The title, "Imanotokorono Best" (which translates to "The Best So Far"), speaks not only to where she's been, but also to where she's going-
a quiet handoff from the past to the future.
With a voice both delicate and grounded, and lyrics that gently uncover emotion from the everyday,YOUME sings from an honest place.
This album is for those who've followed her journey from the start, and also for those just now discovering her music.
