Different colors, different scents, distinct in their gaze

Some cast a shadow, hidden from sight

Some have their thorns, sharp and afraid

Some sweet as honey, in the perfume they’ve made

It’s the same with us, we’re all unique

Different colors in the truth that we seek

Some laugh with the sun, so bright and so free

Some hide the thorns of their history

Some brave the storm, walking on tired feet

Everything living has a name and a place

Flowers and humans, with their own special grace

We live out our truth, through the scent and the hue

It carries the heart, it knows how to sigh

Sunny and calm, or pouring with rain

Clouds full of gray, or lightning and pain

The sky cycles on, as the days come and go

Just like the feelings that we’ve come to know

The weather of humans, shifting each day

While others have rain, where the sad rivers flow
