黒船来航から下田開港までの激動の歴史を、明るく楽しいエレクトロスウィング調で描いた歴史エンターテインメントソングです。
ペリー提督、ハリス、吉田松陰、お吉など、日本の開国に関わった人物たちが次々と登場し、「右へ左へ すったもんだの しもだ開港 どんとこい！」の掛け声とともに、幕末の下田の熱気を軽快に歌い上げます。
宮城県気仙沼市出身の元遠洋マグロ船員であるmurricが、現在暮らす静岡県下田市の歴史と魅力を、子どもから大人まで楽しめる音楽として制作しました。
この楽曲は実際に下田港の遊覧船サスケハナ号の待合室でも放送されており、観光客の皆さまに下田の歴史を親しみやすく伝える取り組みとして活用されています。

Absorbing the currents of history, the memories of those who once crossed the oceans, and the modern sound of the waves, murric sublimates these experiences into powerful music. The song entered into this audition is a masterpiece inspired by the very ship he sails on, where his own life and history intersect. Like a ship braving the rough seas, murric starts a new voyage from the "VERTICAL IMPACT" stage to the global music scene, guided by deep, seasoned vocals and a cinematic soundscape.
