Slightly Grown

"Taking a sip, I quietly swallowed the bitterness."
An afternoon spent ordering a slightly pricier coffee than usual at a favorite cafe, quietly reading a book while playing the part of an "adult." This track sublimates the subtle bittersweetness and flutter of excitement that comes with stretching oneself into a modern, stylish jazzy chill pop (neo-soul) release.

To guarantee absolute originality and completely prevent any melodic overlap, the chorus adopts a "jazzy-step" melody structure-starting off-beat with a chromatic line at the beginning of the phrase. Grounded in a tight "aesthetic of subtraction" driven by warm Fender Rhodes and a smooth bassline, the arrangement elegantly renders both the youthful longing to act mature and a sophisticated urban chill vibe. A supremely trendy and comfortably smooth track.
