Just one day left, the weekend slips away

Only two days off, that’s all I get this week

Out of seven, only two are mine

Two-day weekends, better than none, I guess

I sleep off my fatigue, my rest fades fast

Only two days off, never seems to last

Most of it spent dreaming, first day is gone

Time flies by and it just feels wrong

I thought I had plans, things I wanted to do

But in the end, I do nothing, nothing comes through

Too tired to rise, can’t get out of bed

I wake to find the sun sinking low in the sky

So many dreams whisper, but my hands can’t reach them high

My favorite clothes remain unworn today

Only two days off, the same old way

Mostly in suits, life passes me by

Looking at my new jeans, all I can do is sigh

Bought them at first sight, but never got to wear

No plans today, maybe I’ll go somewhere

I drag myself out, wander down the street

And somehow end up at the pachinko machines, seat by seat

The air’s just right, the space feels comforting

But when I’m alone on a day off, I chase nothing

It’s not like I’m lonely, I chose to be alone

Ah! I hit the jackpot, yay!

Ah—this might turn out to be a good day off
