This second album [Su of Kisumiwako Continent] to be finally released after 14 years of silence since the first album [Ki of Kisumiwako COntinent]. The previous album involved 15 members who played various instruments and sang chorus but this album was strictly done by miwakokisu herself not only all the songs written, arranged, performed, but also recorded, mixed and mastered by herself. The tracks included no extra sounds except for the birds churps and shutter sounds of cameras in addition to mainly her vocal and guitar along with some limited percussions. This resulted in a way very stoic but very pure and simple sounding tracks. 11 tracks 31 minutes total. All songs are fairly new, written in the last 1-2 years. Most songs are less than 3 minutes, all catchy but still original and soothing, the unique miwakokisu world, which you can not find it anywhere else but there in Kisumiwako Continent. Artist Profile
miwakokisu
miwakokisu, often thought as stage name, is my real name. I live in Innoshima, an island in Setouchi Inland Sea, and sometimes reside in Kisumiwako Continent. A lead singer on guitar of OPPAI CATS, a girls-trio garage punk band from Onomichi, Hiroshima. #oppaicats I try to scoop the feelings flooding out day by day and let them go, and sometimes feel like spinning and undoing a yarn of music. I don't like repeating, but I'd like to sing songs that people want to listen to again and again. I love watching the sky, and would like to stay punk at heart. Having always been a music person, to my surprise, I have been so passionate about drawing and painting sort of like portraits of my daughter. I began sculpture as well, aiming for the exhibition of 100 works. This summer I made the very first solo exhibition which was very successful. Second album of solo project "Su of Kisumiwako Continent" has just been released on Oct.10, 2024. A collaboration piece with a local orchestra of Onomichi, Honyarara Gakudan, is digitally released today on Nov.3, 2024 as single in advance of the following album "Mi of Kisumiwako Continent."
