Perversion

The title is "Perversion." Since the song goes, "A strange elation after betrayal-is it a fickle perversion?" I chose "Perversion" as the title. There are definitely situations in this world that feel utterly perverse, aren't there? "Whenever I call, you strip me naked and toy with me." Why doesn't he get angry? "I'm at home. I'm alone," he says. "Whether that's true or a lie-well..." Yeah, I'm sure the person listening doesn't even want to know if it's true or a lie. "Thirsty emotions held captive." There used to be a song that went, "Restrictions are such childish things," didn't there? "If I call, will it just be static? You laugh as if to test me." I wonder what they heard. "Who was that? I saw you." If someone said that to you, you'd freeze up, wouldn't you?
