On May 13, H. Takahashi released the new work BGM, created as the in-house environmental music for Shibuya PARCO.
Composed of 8 tracks spanning approximately 50 minutes, the album is an environmental music work built around shimmering vibraphone and marimba tones, subtle fluctuations and displacements emerging through repetition, and a careful balance between tension and relaxation.
Created with the atmosphere of Shibuya PARCO a space where fashion and culture intersect in mind, the work was designed as music for public spaces, intended to naturally blend into the environment even during long periods of playback.
Mixing and mastering were handled by Kohei Oyamada, with design by Yudai Osawa.
The music is currently being broadcast throughout Shibuya PARCO until the end of June.
