東京都立川市を拠点に活動するラッパーHorrormanが2nd EP 『Back to the basic』をリリース。
前作の1st EP 『Center Village』から約2年ぶりのEPリリースとなる今作は、Horrormanの日常、葛藤、自身が主宰しているパーティーTipsy Motelについてなどがオーバーダビングされた作品となっている。
前作に引き続き“チルヒップホップ” “レゲエ” “R&B”などをベースに、生音を基軸とした音楽が特徴的なbuzzy.(バジー)として勢力的な活動を見せているYUUKI KANAYAをメインプロデューサーとして迎え、solidな空気感やFunkの要素を取り入れた空気感を組み込んだ個性豊かな楽曲が完成した。
4曲目『Midnight Run』の客演には今年EP 『Catharsis』、シングル『You.』をリリースしたことも記憶に新しいJelly Oneを客演に迎えており、Jelly Oneのメロウなフロウがフックを彩る。
ジャケットアートワークは2019年にリリースされた『Take it yeezy feat. Yue』のMVも手掛けているDirectorのTakayuki Asanumaが手掛けている。
