A Tokyo-based post-rock band unveils their long-awaited debut full-length album, "Phantom Planet, Taxidermied Azure,"after four years of creation, marked by member departures and a long-awaited reunion.

Composed as a ten-chapter sonic narrative, the album weaves together piano, strings, and wind instruments to form an epic work centered on themes of destruction and rebirth.

Following a period of lineup changes, the band has returned to its original members. This album, completed over four years, stands as the first installment of a grand trilogy built around the concept of "prosperity, demise-and recurrence."Set on a distant planet where civilization is said to have perished, the story unfolds as a prologue, depicting the journey of the survivors as they begin their search for a lost truth.

To fully realize this expansive world, the band moves beyond conventional rock frameworks, embracing an ambitious sound approach that prominently features orchestral elements. Rooted in compositional techniques inspired by classical and contemporary music, the album unfolds through dynamic contrasts between stillness and intensity.

Explosive post-rock guitar crescendos merge with delicately layered textures, while lush orchestration adds depth and scale. A youthful, transparent vocal carries melodies tinged with an oriental sensibility, bringing the narrative to life. Complementing this is a body of lyrical work rich in literary nuance and nostalgia, expressing a distinctly Japanese aesthetic with subtlety and grace.
