Among many other releases,Mbanja Ritchy,a.k.a. B-Bandj,has released four albums as a member of Fu-Ten.This time around,on the funky Dj Shark track"Smarter Than A Phone",
fellow Fu-Ten member Mili joins him and blesses the song with a Japanese smooth rap flow.
Both rappers are from the same group but the energy is slightly different than what they usually do as a rap duo.With the soothing voice of female vocalist Ray,the song becomes much more palatable for men and women,effortlessly targeting a broader audience.
The remix of "Smarter than A Phone"(Technology Addiction remix)is by Goro Takayama.
On "The Best Things Are Free",Mbanja Ritchy invites two artists:Drew(from The U.S.A and Zimbabwe)singing R&B styled vocals and Chris Sims(from The U.S.A.)on the beat with Goro Takayama.

    Mbanja Ritchy(aka B-Bandj) is a trilingual rapper/beat maker who speaks English, French and Japanese. He was the front man for Mondo Grosso, an international group well known for being the first major international "Jazz Funk"band in Japan(first album release:Mondo Grosso,self-titled, 1993.).This major record release led to a European tour(including the "Cannes Music Festival in France)and a concert in New York City at the Supper Club (with jazz greats such as Brandford Marsalis).Mondo Grosso has been among the most acclaimed Acid Jazz groups in the world. Their last album with the entire band("Born Free")certified Shinichi Osawa's position(the group's leader)as one of the most successful music producers in Japan. Mbanja Ritchy graduated from Mondo Grosso in 1996 to pursue a Hip Hop career. He has then released 3 solo self-produced albums:The first one being "Breaking Barriers". He is still currently an emcee with Mili("Naked Artz")for Fu-Ten,known for being the most popular Hip Hop band in Japan. Fu-Ten sent shock waves throughout the music industry in Japan with their first album"Music is Expression"(live showcases included a drummer and a Dj)and hundreds of live performances. His first single as Mbanja Ritchy is "Stay the course"(-2021-Music by Goro Takayama featuring Dj Shark/West Japan DMC championship winner).
