POLTA

    Last Stop

    POLTA

POLTA is a two-piece band consisting of Ai Onae (Vo, G) and Suguru Fukuda (B, Cho).
With Onae's crystal-clear vocals, and lyrics that depict everyday life just as it is, the band has steadily gained empathy from listeners. Their first album SAD COMMUNICATION, released in 2015, won the Hokuriku Block Award at the CD Shop Awards.

In July 2016, about a year after their debut album, POLTA released the mini-album HELLO AGAIN. In May 2017, their venue-exclusive release DOSEI SHONEN EP sold out shortly after its release.

Now, the constantly active POLTA presents their second full-length album-an intensely rock-driven work themed around love and death: LOVE & DEAD. Rumor has it that they've even escaped the very bottom of the school social hierarchy. "No more staying in the corner!"

This album includes "Last Stop," a newly written song for the film Please Don't Go Anywhere (directed by Rin Shuto), in which POLTA appeared and provided the music. The film won the Best Musician Award at MOOSIC LAB 2017. The album also features a new album mix of "Dosei Shonen," the title track from their previous venue-exclusive EP, as well as "Shissou Shigan," a staple call-and-response song at their live shows.

All ten tracks highlight the distinct songwriting styles of each member.
