A response to ambient Americana, born in a Tiny room in West Tokyo.

Guitarist Masatomo Yoshizawa-known for his work with YOUR SONG IS GOOD, his unit with XTAL, and Aka Enpitsu (led by the comedy duo Banana Man)-joins forces with bassist/composer/producer Hiroki Chiba, who has supported and produced a wide range of musicians and recently drew attention for scoring the film Teki. They are accompanied by drummer Wataru Mitsunaga, an in-demand player for cero, YOUR SONG IS GOOD, Aka Enpitsu, Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, and many others. Together, these three seasoned musicians form the new band blah bruh.

Their self-released cassette BLUE EVE quickly sold out upon release, prompting strong demand for an official edition Release. Now, their long-awaited debut album BLUE EVENING arrives via Kakubarhythm.

Recorded during sessions at Chiba's home in West Tokyo, the album captures the deepening gradient of blue that stretches from dusk into night-quiet, intimate, and gently glowing.

Alongside seven original compositions by Yoshizawa and Chiba, the album includes a rendering of the Hawaiian traditional "No Ke Ano Ahiahi" and an unexpected instrumental cover of Madonna's classic "Like a Virgin," totaling nine tracks.

The trio's interplay-like a musical conversation unfolding in real time-merges with ethereal, atmospheric sound design, evoking an "ambient Americana" sensibility. Listeners may be reminded of the 2024 session album Sam Wilkes, Craig Weinrib, and Dylan Day on Leaving Records.

The album's recording, mixing and mastering were handled by Chiba, while the artwork was created by Yoshizawa.

A relaxed, immersive session crafted by musicians who truly enjoy the act of playing together. Settle in and enjoy the time that unfolds.
