MA² Releases 'Haruiro no Kodou' as the Opening Theme for "Control Setsuko Edition ver.2"
MA², a Japanese game circle, has released 'Haruiro no Kodou' ('Cherry Blossoms in My Heart') as the opening theme for their romance mystery adventure game "Control Setsuko Edition ver.2". The song, penned and composed by Vocaloid Producer Keica*, is performed by the singer Kexini, who brings to life the character Setsuko Obara, one of the heroines of the game. Her vibrant and innocent voice captures the essence of Setsuko and the anticipation of new love that springs forth with the season.
Keica*'s signature style, filled with cuteness and an exhilarating pace, delicately encapsulates the charm of Setsuko Obara. The game's scenario was crafted by Masa, with artwork provided by illustrator Mai Mai and designer Chikuwabu.
Since its inception in February 2022, MA² has been active in the Japanese gaming scene. They released a demo of their first work, "Control", at Comic Market 101 on December 31, 2022. In January 2024, Chikuwabu, responsible for direction, UI/logo/CG design, and movie production, and Keica*, handling lyrics, composition, arrangement, sound editing, and movie production, joined as new members. On April 28, 2024, "Control Setsuko Edition ver.2" was released at COMIC1 24, and a sequel, "Control Mayuri Edition", is scheduled for release at Comic Market 105 in December.

From a young age, Keica* was captivated by anime songs and doujin music, mastering the art of incorporating electronic elements into catchy pop arrangements. Keica*'s musical journey began with piano and trombone lessons in elementary school, and she expanded her repertoire by joining a band in junior high. Growing up surrounded by music, she became intimately familiar with its many facets. She is an active participant in doujin music events such as Comiket and M3, contributing her talents not only to live performances but also by providing music for indie games and vocal tracks. In 2023, Keica* released her debut album "Pastel Popstar!" featuring the theme song for a popular bishoujo game. Moreover, she has broadened her horizons by contributing music to local TV commercials and to 'Renan' from Unison Stage, further showcasing her versatility as an artist.
