Artist Profile

  • Yanawaraba

A childhood friend female unit from Ishigaki Island by Yu Ishigaki, who is in charge of vocals and sanshin, and Rio Tozato, who is in charge of vocals and guitar. After moving to Tokyo from Ishigaki Island, the two of us started writing songs. Debuted in 2003 with "Aoi Treasure". The album "Uta Gusui", which includes "Dear Sir XX" and "Ichigo Ichie", which were selected as the theme songs of the drama, has attracted a lot of attention such as being ranked high in the chart. Released the original album "Urizun no Uta" in March 2019. Disbanded in November 2020 with the last live at the International Forum. Harmony that resonates with the listener's heart, regardless of the times, naturally invites tears.
