In August 1966, The Monkees released their debut single, "Last Train To Clarksville". On September 12th of the same year, "The Monkeys Show" started on the NBC series. The debut album "Last Train To Clarksville" released in October of the following year became a hit with sales of 5 million copies thanks to the synergistic effect with television. A best-of collection of 16 songs including "Theme From The Monkees", "Star Collector", and "I Wanna Be Free", as well as million-selling masterpieces such as "Daydream Believer" and "I'm A Believer".
