Kobe Jazz Vocal Queen Rie Takahashi, who has been active both in Japan and in the US and she is considered a treasure born in Kobe, grew up listening to Western music and has covered 100 years of jazz history, is now ready to release her first newly written original single [Meant To Be] from iTunes on November 28. It is a jazzy and nostalgic City Pop Tune. Her specialties are cooking and drawing abstract paintings.

    Jazz vocalist from Kobe, the birthplace of jazz in Japan. Winner of the grand prize at the Saitama Shin Toshin Jazz Vocal Contest in 2013. Winner of the grand prize at the Kobe Shinkaichi Jazz Vocal Queen Contest in 2014. Performed at Jazz Alley in Seattle. Launched and produced Ashiya Jazz Festival in 2017. Successfully crowdfunded and released the album [FROM THIS MOMENT ON]. In 2022, she will travel to the U.S. to perform with top local players in Los Angeles and then Las Vegas, and in 2024, she will perform at the Southern California OC JAPAN FAIR, performing her first newly written original composition. Her bilingual and reliable performance was highly acclaimed by Americans. She is a regular performer at Kobe Sone, and also performs at oldies and Latin live shows to broaden her entertainment. She is a DJ for Ashiya Radio and TJS Radio in Los Angeles. Every Friday [RIE'S AROUND THE GLOBE] and every Saturday [Jazz Up Ur Life].
