The explosion of supernova SN1998ef was discovered on November 25, 1997 by Mr. Yasuo Sano, an astronomer and drummer from Hokkaido. This star was a unique and unusual hypernova, located in the galaxy UGC 4107 in the constellation Lynx.
Sano has observed several supernova explosions in the past, but this star is the one he remembers the most.
I met Mr. Sano through a jazz performance, and he would sometimes talk about space with a twinkle in his eye during his practice sessions. And I love hearing stories like that.
A casual conversation about what it would be like if Earth's foxes had also discovered supernova explosions that he discovered led to the creation of this album.
It is a conversational story between the vast universe and a small soul living on Earth. Thank you to Miyabi-san and Ohigashi-san for participating in the recording.
I want to create this album as a gift to Mr. Sano, and at the same time, I hope that it will convey something to someone, somewhere.

I live in the northern part of Hokkaido, Japan, and spend my days composing music, playing in a jazz band, and holding musical workshops for the townspeople. Yamame trout swim in the river in the town where I live, and deer, foxes, and rabbits pass by my house. You can even meet bears if you walk a little bit. I would like to express spontaneously musically all the scenes that I feel from the animals that live close to me and the overwhelming workings of Mother Nature. I hope it touches someone's heart.
