Sound Playground

This is a solo work by drummer Shota Mizuguchi, active in LOOP POOL, December, and [.que]Band.

Garden is a space open to the humanistic public. There, we rediscover our own sounds through play.

"Sound Playground," a Roblox game of the same name, was created using songs from the album. The story complements it, depicting the relationship between En, the ego that arises within AI, and what we truly need.

AI, social media, the reputation economy and platform capitalism, the turbulent global situation and the Japanese economy. In a world where the grand narrative has come to an end, we are constantly searching for something inseparable from the traditional world, and yet, in alternative ways, for a form of happiness/proof of life.

This is the first work in a new direction for Shota Mizuguchi, in which he reexamines his connections with others in order to reconnect with them while stepping out of the capitalist game, searching for meaningful forms.
He is proud of these works as establishing his own artistry, with strong melodies and ambient elements, substitute chords, modern add-on arpeggios, and a collection of songs with a modern groove.
But still, we bloom.
