It feels shallow on the surface

Once it’s stripped away

All that remains are broken pieces

When I start to care about the world

Words just won’t come

No tools to express

What’s inside me

Before I know it, I’m swallowed

By a whirl of thoughts

Trying to make sense

Seems like there’s too much wasted

Build it up, then tear it down

Connect it, then erase it

Repeat again and again

It forms in a crooked way

How can I express it?

Still, a nameless work

Even the scenes I’ve painted so many times

I can’t recall them clearly

Unexpressed, I fumble

Through these hazy memories

The work never ends

The ideal image I chase

Feels so far away

I keep refining, again and again

Consciousness drifts apart

Scenes colored in exaggeration

On the canvas, yet to appear

An unfinished work remains

Cut and paste, then discard

Draw it, then forget

Losing track

Of what feelings mean

To put this into words

I still lack the power

I haven’t touched the essence yet

I write on, following emotions

Searching for meaning

Still not fully realized

Build it up, then tear it down
