There are many kinds of music genre from all over the world, however dancehall has the most unique music style from its birth
in 1960s.
Born in Jamaica, reggae / dancehall music has given birth to a unique culture of "oneway" where multiple artists sing on the same riddim (*instrumental in other genres). The fact that each artist sings on the same riddim makes their individuality and originality stand out even more. The riddim may be the same, but when it is filtered through the sensibility of the artist, a completely different story is spun. Such a "chemical reaction" is why I can't stop listening to the album "This World Riddim".
Seven stories colored by the riddim of which Japanese producer DF. Each artist's flavor is on full display in the content. Although each artist has his own way of thinking and approach, there are many similarities in the sense that they all share a love for "this world" and a gentle gaze.
The artwork on the cover by cutout artist Ayumi Shibata also expresses this. It is her work with its enveloping warmth that invites us into the world of music.
