This is Matchstick's 8th single for distribution.
The song depicts Jö's determination to face death through the separation of family, friends, and former teachers, and to live with the theme of "meeting in the limited time".
The development of the song is a little different from the usual Jpop, with its ups and downs, which represents the waves of life.
The jacket is a photo of fukujuso flowers taken in Kanomizu, Yamagata Prefecture, a place associated with Jö, which is also the setting for the song "Mamoritaimono wa arukai" (What's important to you?).
Matchstick is a Japanese musician, a solo project by Jö. With a genre-defying musical style and a delicate sensibility, Matchstick crafts songs that confront reality with honesty, resonating with listeners across a wide range of generations. Jö independently handles every aspect of the project, including songwriting, composition, arrangement, artwork, and music video production. In 2019, Matchstick performed alongside Night de Light at the event "Ai no Hakobune," delivering a successful live show. In addition to creating original music, Jö has worked on letter songs for weddings, background music for radio programs, and has provided songs for rappers, idols, and other bands. In 2020, one of these works was broadcast on terrestrial television for the first time. In 2023, Matchstick officially launched as a full-scale project. With over 4 million total views across YouTube and TikTok, Matchstick is gaining attention as a next-generation musician.
