"Mitsuo Ochiai with Rhythm Animal" Live Performance at Niigata Prefectural Civic Hall, Large Hall, 2025
The second half of the album features nine rock numbers highlighting Mitsuo Ochiai's aggressive side.
A singer-songwriter whose diverse melodies are heartbreaking and touching on the universal themes of life. Born in Niigata Prefecture, he made his major debut in 2004 with "Tsurezure/Dancing All Night" on King Records as the last rock artist from Kitajima Music Agency. Whether it's solo acoustic performances, a trio with drums and percussion, a duo with piano, or even an aggressive live performance with four percussionists or more, he pursues a sound that can only be expressed at that moment. He co-created Japan's first disassembled acoustic guitar with Yairi Guitar. He travels the world by motorcycle and camper van, streaming live performances where he sings against the backdrop of breathtaking views. *From 1996 to 1999, he was active as part of the band "Sun's Company." He released two albums as a band, and two albums as the unit "XXX" from 2000 to 2003.
