Coral Fragments

A song inspired by a solo journey to Ishigaki Island in 2023.

Walking along a shoreline covered with fragments of coral,
I discovered a small sacred place hidden by the sea.

Beyond the Moana,
there may be paradise,
or perhaps something older
a memory carried across the ocean.

This song was born from the landscapes of Ishigaki Island
and the memories of Hawaii that followed.

Like a sea turtle crossing distant waters,
may it become a bridge between islands,
between people,
and between past and present.
