Artist Profile

  • Masato Hashizume

Born on November 22, 2005. A singer-songwriter from Takatsuki City, Osaka Prefecture. She began taking piano lessons at age 4 and made her vocal stage debut at age 6. Later, influenced by her older brother, who was in a band at the time, she developed a strong interest in rock music and began performing live, primarily at the Osaka Castle Park street concert Siroten, starting in the fifth grade. At the same time, she registered as a volunteer performer with the local Social Welfare Council and performed at various facilities as a volunteer entertainer. During this time, she was invited by the International Befrienders, an international suicide prevention organization, to perform alongside composer Toshiaki Matsumoto, famous for songs like Everythin (MISIA). While these activities were featured in newspapers and on television, he also won prizes in various music contests and karaoke programs. He received the DD Self-Produce Award at the 32nd Junon Super Boy Contest and placed third in the 1st Mr. Trot Japan. He is also active as the trot singer Masato, performing across Japan and South Korea. He is currently enrolled in the School of Culture, Media and Society at Waseda University.
